Rachel Ingle-Teare, Children’s Information Librarian, Leeds Libraries & Information Service
Rachel has been working for the Leeds Library Service for 3 years. She graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University completing a BA Hons in Garden Art and Design. She went on to work in this field for a year but due to the economic climate she had to re-think her career path. This is when Rachel got her first job working for Leeds Library Service as a front line member of staff and has not looked back.
One year ago Rachel was successfully appointed as the Children’s Information Librarian working in the City area including the Mobile Libraries. Her main challenge is to engage with the local community as well as the wider City to increase the number of families and schools that use the library service in particularly Leeds Central Library. www.leeds.gov.uk/libraries
