Religion, multiculturalism and modern resonances on Agora (2010)

Dr Steven Green, The Head of the Classics Department will spend a few minutes explaining the scholarship project, before passing over to me to discuss the main points covered in my longer presentation given at the National Media Museum in March 2011 for the ‘Classics in Our Time’ event.  The contents of my presentation will consist of the film’s portrayal of the following:

4. Religious Tensions
5. Characterisation – The historical figure of the film’s protagonist Hypatia vs the modern ideal.
